(Washington, DC - July 4, 2009) It has never been done before. The Columbus Stompers are the first team in IAGLCWDC history to win the "Overall Best Team" title two years in a row!

The Open Division team's performance at the annual international hoedown was a huge hit with the crowd and the judges. They took a First Place trophy in the division and then came back to win the Overall award. The Open Team's choreographer is Lewie Malandra.

The Line Dance team, led and choreographed by Tony Farrell and Dean Cox, also took top honors in its division. Both teams spent months in rehearsals, perfecting their routines, preparing to unleash them on the world.

This year's hoedown was in Washington, DC, during the Fourth of July weekend. The hotel, only a stone's throw from the National Mall, was in the perfect position for the teams to enjoy the holiday festivities after their grueling competition.
