Stompers Elect New Officers and Board of Directors for 2011 |
(Sept 30, 2010 - Columbus) The Columbus Stompers elected new leadership at Thursday's General Membership meeting. The elections include a newly-established Board of Directors, created earlier in the month by the adoption of amended bylaws. Eric Lingafelter will take the Presidential reins on October 1, 2010. He succeeds multi-term president Jim Chakeris. In his campaign address to the membership, Lingafelter said he plans to grow the organization's roster with a goal of reaching at least 100 active, engaged members. After an unexpected nomination, current Community Outreach Committee Chairperson Lori Boldman was elected Vice President. Longtime member and former President Keely Thomas returns to a leadership position as Secretary. Shaun Whybark was unanimously re-elected for his second term as Treasurer. For the first time, the Columbus Stompers Board of Directors includes three At-Large seats. Longtime member Julie Albert, Sharon Kellum and Online Committee Chair Marshall McPeek were elected to fill the positions. The new officers' terms begin October 1, 2010. |
